چکیده
Abstract Background Common peroneal nerve (CPN) injury is one of the most common injuries in lower extremities and motor functional recovery injured was often unsatisfactory, mechanism which still controversial. The purpose this retrospective study to determine prognostic factors patients who underwent surgery for CPN provide a tool clinicians assess patients’ prognosis. Methods This cohort all neural exploration from 2009 2019. A total 387 with postoperative follow-up more than 12 months were included final analysis. We used univariate logistics regression analyses explore explanatory variables associated neurological function. By applying multivariable logistic analysis, we determined incorporated into clinical prediction model, developed nomogram by selected variables, then assessed discrimination model area under curve (AUC) receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve. Results case group 67 control 320 patients. Multivariate analysis showed that (urban vs rural, OR = 3.35), occupation(“blue trouser” worker “white-trouser” worker, 4.39), diabetes (OR 11.68), cardiovascular disease 51.35), knee joint dislocation 14.91), proximal fibula fracture 3.32), tibial plateau 9.21), vascular 5.37) hip arthroplasty 75.96) increased risk poor CPN, while high preoperative muscle strength 0.18) immobilization 0.11) decreased CPN. AUC 0.904 95% CI 0.863–0.946. Conclusions Area, occupation, diabetes, disease, dislocation, fracture, are independent protective can prognosis

متن کاملCommon peroneal nerve palsy following total hip arthroplasty: prognostic factors for recovery.
BACKGROUND Common peroneal nerve palsy, although rare, is a serious complication of total hip arthroplasty. Although several publications have dealt with the risk factors for peroneal nerve palsy, there is little literature regarding the time it takes for the nerve to recover and the factors that influence its recovery. The purpose of this study was to elucidate the clinical course of this inju...
